The Community Connections Program matches newcomers with volunteers who are familiar with Canadian culture, values, workplaces, and everyday life. Volunteers help newcomers adapt to living and working in Canada and additionally, can guide internationally trained professionals as they enter their field in Canada. Community Connections volunteers also help newcomers practice English, participate in the community and much more.
Though these opportunities, volunteers learn about international cultures, develop new contacts and networks, and strengthen community life.
