Read all about it! WoodGreen’s 2021-2022 Impact Report is now online. We had so many great achievements during the 2021-2022 fiscal year that were made possible thanks to the dedication of our staff and volunteers and your continued support. We are so proud to share them with all of you.
Every day, WoodGreen provides a wide range of services to support people across Toronto. It can sometimes be difficult to see the full impact of our work. Our Impact Report allows us to condense it all into one place, so you can get a better sense of the scope of our work and hear stories from the people we support.

What are some new features of this year’s Impact Report?
Our Impact Report is 100% online
This year’s Impact Report is unique because it is our first one to ever be 100 per cent digital. The move to having a digital report is not only environmentally friendly, but it also gives us the opportunity to share more stories about the impact of our work and to do so in an interactive way. It also makes it easy for you to share with others and to show why you support WoodGreen.
More impact stats and stories
WoodGreen makes a difference every day. Our Impact Report is jam-packed full of stats and stories from our clients, volunteers, and staff to illustrate how we are doing just that.
Here are additional highlights you can find in this year’s report
A very busy year for our financial empowerment and seniors’ programs
This past year has been very challenging for many people. COVID-19 continued to impact many parts of the city, causing vulnerable seniors to continue to feel isolated. Additionally, the cost of living in our city rapidly increased, making it difficult for people living on low or fixed incomes to make ends meet. Our Seniors Wellness teams supported thousands of seniors in crisis. Meanwhile, our Financial Empowerment team helped hundreds of people to improve their financial literacy and get much-needed tax benefits owed to them.
Creating more affordable housing in Toronto
WoodGreen has an ambitious goal to reach 3,000 affordable housing units by 2030. We are well on our way to reaching that goal through partnerships with governments and developers. This past year, we made some exciting announcements when it comes to housing, including officially opening the doors to a new building for seniors.
Helping single mothers
Our award-winning Homeward Bound program continued to help single mothers facing homelessness transition to financial stability and independence. We opened 23 new Homeward Bound housing units on Gerrard Street East thanks to a partnership with the City of Toronto. A new Homeward Bound campus is also going to be built on Queen Street East.
