Eligibility: Toronto residents living on low incomes and facing financial challenges. This includes (but is not limited to): older adults, newcomers to Canada, students, individuals with disabilities and individuals who are unemployed.

Program dates: Year-round

Program description

Free counselling for low-income clients, including those with trouble accessing government benefits and/or banking services, money management issues, or general financial questions. Clients meet one-on-one with registered social workers who specialize in financial counselling.

 

WoodGreen’s Financial Empowerment team can help with:

  • Debt management
  • Savings tools and options
  • Banking
  • Budgeting
  • Improving credit
  • Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP) application

 

As an OESP intake agency, our Social Workers can support you with submitting your OESP application.
