WoodGreen partners with health and social service agencies in East Toronto to deliver integrated care, offering more than 75 programs that work together to reduce poverty and promote community health. Our team works with seniors, adults, youth and families to provide safe and affordable housing options, disability support, and a wide range of physical and mental health services. We also offer newcomer settlement programs, support for single mothers, child care, financial services and pathways to meaningful employment. For more than 80 years, we have worked with communities to improve wellbeing and create new opportunities to thrive.

Child Care

WoodGreen supports families with young children, providing quality child care, special needs resources and parenting programs that promote healthy child development. In addition to licensed child care centres, we also run after-school programs and day camps during March Break and summer holidays.

Our programs assist adults and children living with developmental disabilities to enhance their independence and quality of life. We provide access to affordable housing, financial counselling, health services, recreational activities and peer-led support programs for families and caregivers.

WoodGreen offers a range of free employment services to help job seekers develop and market the right skills. We offer one-on-one coaching, resume writing support, job search tips, training opportunities and access to youth internships, creating pathways to long-term employment.

Through free workshops and one-on-one financial counselling, we provide personalized solutions to financial challenges. We can support with budgeting, debt management, banking and financial services, preparing income taxes, low-income retirement planning, accessing government benefits and more.

We partner with hospitals, health agencies and Personal Support Workers to improve community health and wellbeing. Our team can assist with assessments, medical services, case management, walk-in counselling, wellness programs and access to other community-based services.

Homeward Bound

This four-year education and employment program is designed to give single mothers in challenging circumstances the tools to make a fresh start. WoodGreen provides holistic support with housing, child care, counselling, tuition-paid college education, internships and job search training.

We provide seniors, youth, newcomers, individuals with disabilities, psychiatric survivors and people experiencing homelessness with safe and affordable housing. WoodGreen owns and manages 12 housing sites, where tenants can access the full range of our services.

Our team helps newcomers make a successful transition into Canadian society.
