For the last few years, the LSBB team has chosen to donate to charities on behalf of their clients for the holidays. They choose organizations that are making an impact in local communities. This year, they wanted to give an opportunity for the various businesses they work with to join in on the cause! For 2023, they have chosen WoodGreen’s Homeward Bound initiative.

As one of Toronto’s largest social service agencies, WoodGreen helps meet the unmet needs of 37,000 people each year. They work to improve the health and well-being of Toronto’s residents, helping ensure they are housed, employed, supported, and safe.

WoodGreen’s Homeward Bound helps homeless or inadequately housed single mothers earn college diplomas and achieve self-sufficiency. Women who, four short year ago, were homeless or precariously housed are now college graduates starting their careers, and their children are starting to thrive. Creating a new start and a healthy environment for children to grow and learn is a critical component of a program that breaks intergenerational cycles of poverty.

We encourage you to partner with LSBB and invest in the futures of women and children. All donations from this page will help to support WoodGreen’s Homeward Bound program and further expand its services for new participants.
