WoodGreen is committed to helping the next generation of community development professionals gain the skills they need to create lasting change. We have a limited number of college and university placements available for students who are preparing to work in the social services sector. This is an opportunity to contribute to innovative and impactful programs while working alongside an experienced team.

Our Process

1. Application

Select the volunteer opportunity that interests you and click "Apply". You will be redirected to our Volunteer Portal to complete this portion.

2. Police check

Some positions require a police check; this is to ensure the safety and security of our volunteers and clients.

3. Reference check

Please note that we require two references (personal/professional).

Winter/Spring 2025 (January – May) Financial Empowerment

Financial Empowerment Intake Placement Student (PBI-ref30)

Opportunity to develop and deliver Financial Literacy workshops, coordinate and assist in planning special works and events for community groups and external agencies.

14-35, ideally minimum is 21 hours/week but we are open to 14 hours.

Student opportunity to support the Communications and Marketing team with media relations, social media, and writing for various communications tools for WoodGreen.
